The Leaf THE LEAF November-December 2019 | Page 3

Hello everyone Well here it is, after nearly 5 years of publication, this is the final issue of ‘the leaf’ It has given me enormous pleasure in putting this publication together every other month, and the response to it has been absolutely staggering. Unfortunately, there comes a time to take a step back and let others take up the challenge of educating the public about Medicinal Cannabis. The decision was not taken lightly, as many of you know, I also run a successful support and information group called “Medicinal Cannabis & Hemp Tasmania” and the mobile educational unit “Little Green Trailer Tasmania”. I know Marilyn (RIP) would be proud of the work continued in her name, but would also understand my need to step back and slow down a bit. Medicinal Cannabis & Hemp Tasmania will continue as it has done, no changes there, but on that Facebook site you will find access to all 25 issues of “the leaf” for reading, downloading and printing, and the link to Joomag on those posts will do the same. Hard copies of ‘the leaf’ will still be available at events and through Little Green Trailer Tasmania, as usual, due to the tireless efforts and support we receive through the Tasmanian Labor Party, who have supported myself and this cause since the beginning. For this of course we sincerely thank them and will continue to work with them in the legalisation of Medicinal Cannabis. Little Green Trailer Tasmania continue to do its educational duties, now managed and run by the little green trailer girls, Lorna Jorgensen and Sharon Pickard, who I am extremely proud of. My role now is more of an advisory capacity, and will be attending events with them. Thank you Girls for you dedication, trust and loyalty x I would also like to thank Kim Butler in Canberra, who, over the years of publication has been my brilliant proof reader. A draft copy of the finished newsletter would be sent to Kim, and she would go over it thoroughly correcting all my errors, hence ensuring when it was sent to our readers, the newsletter was the very best it could be. Thank you so much Kim for your dedication and loyalty x Something else we are very proud of is the fact ‘the leaf’ was picked up by the National Library of Australia, in Canberra, given its own ISSN number (ISSN2206-2807) and registered as a serial publication. Now available in every library across Australia by typing in the search bar “the leaf” I will still be available if you need to contact me through my email address [email protected] and through messenger, so please keep in touch. Well that’s about it every one, I thank you all also for enthusiastically accepting this newsletter as part of the Cannabis cause, and you never know, in the future I may still produce the odd one or two newsletters. Keep an eye out for them. Enjoy the read and please forward it to others, thank you Andrew Irving Medicianl Cannabis & Hemp Tasmania – Little Green Trailer Tasmania
