The Leaf THE LEAF Jan-Feb 2019 | Page 3

Hello and a Happy New Year to you all Into another year yet still no closer to any significant changes in the law for Medicinal Cannabis ??? How much longer will it take our politicians to pull their collective heads out of the sand and listen to the will of the people which is currently around 90% in favour. Wake up Australia, we are becoming the laughing stock of the world with our antiquated laws that have no place in the 21 st century. It’s already a well-known fact, that Australia is the most over regulated country in the world. If we as advocates keep working hard in this Cannabis cause, we WILL get there eventually, the will of the people has to win through. Keep up all those out there doing great work in this field. Hopefully once again this year we will source some great articles and personal stories from both Human successes, and those of our animal friends and fur babies. Last issue of ‘the leaf’, as you know was devoted entirely to animals and Medicinal Cannabis, and the feed back from that news letter has been over whelming. Majority of people were completely unaware that it benefitted all animals also. All Mammals have a cannabinoid receptor system, which begs the question, if nature or God, what ever you believe in has designed our body this way… WHY is it illegal to then feed these receptors to keep us healthy? Yet we have no issue with bombarding our opioid receptors??? Ok, enjoy the read, please forward it on to as many people as you can, we need to keep spreading the good word on Medicinal Cannabis and Hemp Andrew Irving Medicinal Cannabis & Hemp Tasmania® and Little Green Trailer Tasmania Passionate Advocate for the Legalisation of Medicinal Cannabis for ALL AUSTRALIANS All submissions / feedback for the magazine can be emailed to - [email protected] (Personal stories can be anonymous if you wish) Deadline for March / April 2019 edition - Mid February 2019 We thank the Labor Party of Tasmania for their continue support and determination to bring in Medicinal Cannabis legislation. I especially want to thank the Labor Party of Tasmania for their support of the work I do, and the many offices who kindly print hard copies of this newsletter for me. Senator Carol Brown and her staff print out includes a few bound hard copies. This has allowed the Doctors and Specialists who have requested them, to have a quality copy in their respective consulting rooms.
