The LEAF Jan/Feb 2016 | Page 3

Editors  Note… I sincerely hope that everyone who read my first newsletter was inspired enough to want to learn more about Medicinal Cannabis and it's health benefits. My wife, Marilyn is my inspiration behind this newsletter, (this being our second) - her progress and improvement continues with her daily treatment with Medicinal Cannabis. Where it will finally end, no one knows, but we will never give up…….   I would like to thank Natalie Daley for her contribution in the first edition, and Labor Senator Carol Brown and her staff for printing and binding the limited number of hard copy's we had done for distribution to several "professional" offices around Tasmania. I would also like to thank Dr Andrew Katelaris for his contribution and wish him and his team well in their endeavours to extend their grow room for the future. I would like to encourage you all to submit articles, personal story's etc for publication in future editions of 'the  leaf"….. Feedback in the first week alone of distribution of this newsletter was amazing to say the least, and justified my reasoning behind an educational newsletter and its vital role. I became aware that this newsletter had reached Queensland, Western Australia and South Australia in the first few days, and also reaching the shores of England and New Zealand (from which I received an enquiry re further information on cannabis treatment for severe migraines) Such is the power  and  speed  of  the  Internet  and  email……… So, good news, due to the overwhelming demand for education on Medicinal Cannabis, I have decided to do the newsletter every 2 months. I will see how this goes initially, as my first priority is Marilyn's care, so time  is  precious…. Legally, things are slowly moving along from state to state, no one seems to be in a hurry to help the pain and suffering of our loved ones, hence it has been like watching paint dry at times to get some of our politicians to actually commit,  instead  of  talk…… Sadly though, our loved ones who are suffering and dieing do not have the luxury of time. It will all come together eventually, that is guaranteed, hence the need for continual education, now and after its legalisation, as people will still fear it due to Cannabis's unwarranted stigma. Hence we must all do our bit in this regard - enjoy your read Andrew Irving - Husband, Primary Carer and Passionate Advocate for the Legalisation of Medicinal Cannabis for all Australians All submissions / feedback for the magazine can be emailed to - [email protected] (Personal stories can be anonomous if you wish) Deadline for March / April edition - Mid February 2016
