Libraries : a place to gather and learn
Libraries aren ’ t just for checking out books anymore . The three branches of the Hennepin County Library system allow community members access to a vast network of resources , both in print and digital media , as well as classes and events for all ages .
Hennepin County Library system has 41 libraries and more than 5 million books , CDs and DVDs in 40 world languages .
Books , movies and music can also be downloaded online and residents download these items at a rate of over a million annual downloads . Of course , for those preferring a hard copy can find one , if not at local branches , at others throughout the county .
Besides resources , the local library branches host a variety of classes , storytimes and more . Many libraries offer extensive summer programming for both children and adults . Many of these programs are run by volunteers , presenting an excellent opportunity to get involved in one ’ s community .

Maple Plain Library

Westonka Library
Westonka Library is located at 2079 Commerce Blvd . in Mound . Library staff can be reached at 612-543-6175 . Open 9a . m . - 5 p . m . on Mondays , Thursdays , Fridays , and Saturdays ; and noon to 8 p . m . on Tuesdays and Wednesdays . Closed on Sundays .
