Chambers serve local businesses
From holiday tree lightings to community festivals , local chambers of commerce help create relationships between local businesses and help them create a community feel in the cities and regions they ’ re in . But it ’ s not all about networking , these chambers help connect community members as well through events held all year long . Chamber members can be regularly seen volunteering and getting involved in the community .
The Long Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is made up of Long Lake and Orono area businesses and individuals . The group sponsors events such as Buckhorn Days , Taste of Long Lake , the Corn Days parade and safe trick-or-treating .
There is a monthly membership luncheon the second Wednesday of the month that features guest speakers . There is also a social hour held on the last Wednesday of the month .

The West Hennepin Chamber of Commerce is a group of business owners , organizations and citizens committed to promoting and encouraging the development of a community where business and people prosper in the Maple Plain and Independence areas . Members have also volunteered their time with other local events and activities .
Members meet monthly at noon on the second Tuesday of every month . Meetings start at noon and are usually held at the Maple Plain City Hall Council Chamber .

Westonka Community and Commerce serves the communities of Minnetrista , Mound , Navarre and Spring Park . Besides monthly meetings the organization also hosts , organizes and supports several community events such as Spirit of the Lakes , Dog Days of Westonka and the Mound Tree Lighting .
