Gold, teamed with Kathryn Hagen, the head of the Fashion Design department to take Woodbury’ s Gala and runway show to the next level. Having only taken over the department two years prior, the pair has truly transformed the Fashion Design program.
If this years Gala and runway show were any indication as to the direction Woodbury University’ s school of design is heading, Perhaps it will take the reigns and set the paradigm of what a truly great design program should be. From the looks of it Woodbury has picked up the pace and it doesn’ t appear to be slowing down any time soon.
There is something to be said about following suit and falling in line with your‘ tribe’ whether it’ s fashion, business, or another— however distinguishing yourself from others in your own tribe is what sets one another apart. It’ s in the details and quality of work, it’ s about finding your voice and designing your own path, collection or reshaping your design program. Modern or vintage, neo or not— Woodbury is paving the way.
