States. The Klan is present in forty-one states, and the members often hold rituals, which include burning wooden crosses in public places to intimidate and threaten minority groups (Jacobs). Why the Klan is still active is, in my opinion, that hatred towards certain parts of the society will always be present, and the Ku Klux Klan is an organization that anyone can join in order to give voice to one’s dissatisfaction.
