• The women’s basketball
team begin their ‘Have
You Ever Seen A
BALD Eagle Before?’
Fundraising Campaign
as they raise funds and
awareness of Breast
Cancer from October
(Breast Cancer Awareness
Month) to the beginning of
January. In total they raise
$6,330 dollars. A video
of the event is uploaded
to YouTube and registers
an astounding 10,000
or more views in its first
week. The BALD Eagle
Team Award is created in
their honour.
• Women’s basketball ties
their best regular season
record of 16-8 previously
set in 2005-2006. They
win their first ever playoff
game, playoff series,
make their 1st Final Four
appearance, and win the
bronze medal for their 1st
medal in program history.
They are nationally ranked
14th in the country for two
consecutive weeks at the
beginning of November.
• Grace Scott, the women’s
volleyball coach, is named
Interim Athletics Director.
• Grace Scott, the women’s
volleyball coach, is
appointed the 4th Athletics
Director of King’s.
• Women’s basketball
ends the season ranked
2nd in Alberta and 3rd in
Canada.
• The men’s volleyball team
earns the right to host the
ACAC Men’s Volleyball
Championship as they
finish in 1st place at the
Christmas break. This
is the 1st time King’s
ever hosts an ACAC
Championship in school
history. They set a new
program record for Most
Wins with a 14-6 record,
and win ACAC Bronze for
the 3rd time in program
history. This extends their
ACAC medal count to 3 the most in school history.
• There are now some 90
athletes on six teams in
three sports attending
King’s.
• A new school record of
nine Eagles are named to
their respective ACAC
All-Conference Teams.
• The new Eagles Logo
created by Kevin Poissant
is introduced.
• Women’s soccer team
wins the ACAC Soccer
Fair Play Award for the 4th
time in program history.
• King’s graduates 16
athletes – largest number
of athletes in the school’s
history.
• Women’s soccer team
wins the ACAC Soccer
Fair Play Award for the
2nd year in a row and 5th
time in program history.
• Men’s soccer team wins
the ACAC Soccer Fair Play
Award for the 1st time in
program history.
