Kimberley School Student, Ben Lickman, Helps Injured Resident
Ben Lickman (a Year 11 student) helped an elderly lady who had collapsed and injured her head, on
Monday 26th September in Kimberley town centre. An off duty paramedic, Kay Gallimore who is parent
to another Kimberley School student, was passing by and went to help Ben, who had already called for
an ambulance and was looking after her. Kay rang the school later that day to commend Ben on how
he handled the situation and commented on how calm he remained and how well he cared for the lady.
The Kimberley School Student Council
After the many applications handed in,
the Sixth Form Committee are please
to announce the new members of this
year’s Student Council. They are an
enthusiastic group who are looking to
make a difference to your school and
get the issues which matter to you
heard by the members of staff who can
make a change. If you want anything
raising or dealing with by the Student
Council then get in touch with one of
them or see Mr Clegg in Room 30.
@KimberleySV
A HUGE congratulations to all
those who took part in last
summer’s LAMDA exams.
The standard this year has
been excellent, with so many
note-worthy Merit/Distinction
performance pieces, or
monologues / duologues. A
performance review evening
is taking place on October 17th
for the students who took part,
showcasing their work to
parents/friends.
The new LAMDA Club begins
after October Half Term, a lot
earlier this year due to high
demand. If your son/daughter
is interested, they must let Mr.
Howes know before the end of
the first week back after half term.
