What works best for me is to meditate first thing in the morning because that’s when I feel the least distracted and the most focused. I do it right after brushing my teeth because that’s something I already do every morning. It’s linked to something that’s already a habit, which has made it easier to incorporate in my daily routine. editation is one of the most important activities that I’ve incorporated into my daily routine. It helps me to clear my mind, create my future, and start the day with focus. I know others who like to meditate at night, but that tends to be more challenging for me because I’m tired and I often end up falling asleep. But everyone is different, so I encourage you to find what works best for you. One of the greatest benefits of meditating is that it can help you identify negative thought patterns and replace them with positive ones…and believe me when I say that your thoughts have a major impact on every aspect of your life! In fact, researchers have shown that there are countless benefits to meditating, especially when you make it a regular practice. I’ve even blogged about the benefits of meditating, including how to meditate and about the myths surrounding meditation, because I know some people aren’t sure how to get started or, perhaps, wonder how well it really works. 3. Find a comfortable spot where you can relax. If you’re planning to meditate in the morning, I would suggest you find a comfortable spot in your house. If you decide that you want to do it in the afternoon, let’s say during lunchtime, use your office or a park that’s close to your work. Just make sure this place is super easy for you to get to, so you’ll be less likely to bail out. Clearly I’m a huge advocate of meditation, but that’s because it’s made such a huge difference in my life and I want it to do the same for you. I want to show you how you can make meditation part of your daily routine (it’s easier than you probably think). Sit down and let go. Don’t try to concentrate too hard; rather, let your attention rest and enjoy the experience. Relax and visualize images of love, peace, and gratefulness every time you inhale. Focus on your breathing, and if you lose track of it, just regain your awareness. Remember that all you need to do is set aside a little time each day, and you’ll be on your way to making meditation one of your most healthy habits.
