As we were nearing a building we heard curling screams and the sound of whips. We hid behind a bush and the sound of a trunk came by. We see the soldiers carrying half dead man. They get out bats and start whacking them until they can’t move. They leave the bodies behind for anyone that cares to look. We continued our long march until we spot a soldier not far from the building. Yeong tripped and moved the bush just enough to catch the soldiers attention. The soldier looked up, and I knew we were in trouble. “Aye come back here or we will kill you and your family!” the soldier yelled from a distance. I have nothing to lose my family is all gone and so is Yeong’s. We started running the opposite direction and stopped until we were sure that we lost the soldier. “Now what are we going to do? Everything looked so deserted that I didn’t have any hope in finding anyone. “Maybe you should feed it,” Yeong stated the obvious. I take some leftover food and push the food to the baby.
