Would you like to know more about it ?” They all said in one voice “ Yes !!!”. He grinned and began to enlighten them on the news on the ancient Mohenjo coins and how priceless they were and that they had to be brought to the museum . So , Jack out of his curiosity asked “ How ?” “ That ’ s a good question ,” Uncle said with a smile . According to the latest information from the museum , one of the coins was uncovered recently in an island close to Canyopia , there could be some more there which we hope to recover soon .
Lia blurted out with curiosity “ Is that where we ’ re headed to next ?”
“ Hmm ... let me see ”
Before he could finish all of them in one voice screamed with joy - “ Yes !!!”
“ Pleeeease ….. we want to .... we will be as nice as we can and not disturb you , but at the same time tail along with you on your journey ,” they said
“ Okay , let me first put it across to my office , I will let you know children .”
They didn ’ t know if it was possible , but they kept their hopes high .
Surprisingly , Uncle Edwin came back to say , “ You can come along , but on one condition all of you should stick with me no matter what and listen to my instructions well .”
“ Of course , we will never let you down ,” said Diana . Uncle Edwin informed us that the journey would be on a boat to reach the island . He said it could make us seasick but we were prepared for the long journey . We packed our First Aid Kit , sufficient food , and water , and of course the board games we love playing with Uncle Edwin . The trip was scheduled for the night so we were all sleepy but active at the same . Our parents though worried still waved us goodbye and we were finally set out for the Island of Moccoa . This wasn ’ t our first trip out at sea , we had been on a cruise before . Yet , our excitement for this journey was exceptional as we were with Uncle Edwin which meant ADVENTURE !! We always knew we would unravel and discover new places and each time . Lia loved to draw , so she began to draw on the boat . Eventually , the drawing was named “ ROCK .“ We could finally see the Island at a distance . It wasn ’ t that far as we thought from the Town of Canyopia .
Suddenly , it began to rain and the winds made the ride bumpier . We stood our ground and made sure we would not be seasick by drinking plenty of water and eating fruits . From a distance , we could spot smoke rising from somewhere at the center of the island . By the afternoon , we were able to dock the boat on the island . The Captain gave us a small map and a compass which would direct us to the site . Uncle Edwin warned us to be careful as the walk was through a thick jungle . We quickly dressed up in long sleeves and jumpers . We also took along a pocket knife and a torch as these would be helpful during the walk . Uncle Edwin was happy to see that we were prepared . He asked us , “ How come you knew these items were necessary for the trip ?” We chuckled and James replied , “ Don ’ t you know ? We are big fans of Tintin so obviously , we would be aware .” He laughed and we continued to move forward . We could feel the fresh air and the cool breeze which are different from the busy streets of Lasos where we would choke ourselves every time we would visit the city park because of the pollution . Here , the scene was breathtaking . In an hour we reached the site , all the men were busy with work . There were huge trucks and loaders and the place was completely sealed to visitors . Uncle Edwin turned to us and said , “ Remember my instructions .” Jack responded , “ Yes , of course , every bit of it .”
A man named Joseph ran to Uncle Edwin reporting the entry of two unknown people minutes back who stole a coin . “ Do you know which direction they were headed to ?”, asked Uncle Edwin . “ Towards the sea !!,” exclaimed the man . Uncle Edwin quickly alerted the security . We were taken aback at the sudden turn of events . The police swung into action . Meanwhile , the remaining brown Mohenjo coins were wrapped up and labeled . We got the opportunity to hold the coin for a few minutes . In an hour , the police caught up the robbers and caught them . It was a relief and the coin was quickly handed over to the authority . We were so happy to be a part of this victory . Uncle Edwin told us the coin was valuable and will go to the museum .
We became happy to be a part of saving an important history . By evening , there was a swarm of news reporters . It was interesting to watch the story of how the police caught the robbers and photos which were taken of Uncle Edwin along with us , and the people of the museum . Finally , it was time to say goodbye and Uncle hugged us . We headed home with a new story to talk about along with their friends .
