Big Woods:“ I have a special place in my heart: the Big Woods. I have a dream to be a biologist or vet. The Big Woods has everything I know, wonder, and love: nature and animals, the wind blowing in my face as I run, friends and fun, and even my own dream hidden in the rustling leaves.” – Blaire, Grade 2
Kent Field:“ I grew up playing fi eld hockey there as an 8 year old, so I’ ve seen it go through many stages. I remember the days when it would snow and … we would build snowmen, slides, and igloos and see who could build the largest snowball. As the snow melted, fi eld hockey started up again. [ Kent Field ] has seen me from holding a hockey stick for the first time, to being on the varsity team, and representing British Columbia.” – Stephanie, Grade 9
“ The Mapping Memories Project was very meaningful for the Grade 3 classes this year. The students loved thinking and writing about their favourite places on campus and enjoyed sharing stories about what happened for them at different places. I liked how the project was collaborative and evolved from one classroom-based lesson to sharing and mapping stories with parents and alumnae.” – Alaina Steiger, Teacher, Grade 3
