As is tradition, Grade 12 students chose a name for their graduating class: 007 for the year they were born! And just like James Bond, the Class of 2025— our very own 007— faced every challenge head-on, staying true to themselves and meeting their final year at Crofton House School with unwavering determination.
They rang out their graduation year in style, embracing the adventures of their final Grade 12 Outdoor Education trip and celebrating at the Alumnae Association’ s Graduation Tea at Hycroft Manor. They also gathered for the Grad BBQ in the Nancy Chan Courtyard, fully embracing the white dress code. The season culminated with the formal Graduation Ceremony in Manrell Hall, followed by the Graduation Dinner and Dance at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.
In her valedictory address, Head Prefect Jenna Jaffer’ 25 offered punk rock-themed words of wisdom, encouraging her classmates to carry the ethos of punk beyond Crofton House: to act with intention and collective power, to lean on each other, and to embrace empathy as they step into their next chapters.
“ Even as we head off in different directions, we’ re not starting from nothing. We’ re carrying with us a legacy, 127 years of Crofton House students who built, led, and lifted each other up. That history doesn’ t end at graduation. The Crofton House community has always been collaborative, resilient and rooted in care – in many ways, not so different from the punk ethos itself. We’ ll need to lean on one another as we face systems that don’ t always prefer us or make space for us.”
“ As we leave this place, let’ s carry the spirit of punk wherever we go, from Edinburgh to San Diego, and harness our true collective power.”
