WINTER Bazaar
As Crofton House marked our 125th anniversary , the 2023 Winter Bazaar was a special celebration of community .
The Winter Bazaar is a cherished tradition , with roots going back to the early 1940s , when proceeds raised were donated to the Red Cross and Save the Children funds , among others .
This year ’ s event once again showcased the heart and spirit of Crofton House School and the CHS Parents ’ Auxiliary . The community had wonderful success in raising funds for KidSafe , an organization dedicated to providing safe , nurturing programs and meals for vulnerable students during school breaks .
Over 680 volunteers contributed more than 1,100 hours to organizing and executing the 2023 Winter Bazaar under the leadership of the dedicated event co-chairs and executive team . The day attracted close to 1,400 attendees , with games , shopping and activities for all .
This year ’ s Winter Bazaar raised an impressive $ 59,570 for KidSafe . These funds support various KidSafe activities including nutrition programming , a summer excursion for 400 children and hiring summer program support workers . Jennifer Petersen , Executive Director of KidSafe , expressed profound gratitude for our community ’ s unwavering dedication , with nearly $ 400,000 contributed over the past seven years .
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this event possible and look forward to continuing this tradition of service and community connection at our next Winter Bazaar .
