HAPPY BIRTHDAY , CROFTON HOUSE !
On Friday , March 3 , the annual school birthday event was held to celebrate Crofton House School ’ s 125th year . This extra-special birthday recognized both the traditions and the progress made by the School since Dr Jessie Gordon welcomed the first four students into her parents home in the West End in March 1898 .
A student assembly started the day , and we were pleased to be joined by many alumnae , including two special guests , Jessie Gordon ’ s great-nieces ! During the day , over 100 alumnae , including six classes having reunions , enjoyed lunches , tours and an afternoon with students . It was an impactful opportunity for past and current students to share their experiences . We hope this year ’ s birthday celebration becomes a model for future events and a conversation across generations –– a special partnership of past , present and future .
