Do you know how important music is? It has the potential to show you a fantastic world of feelings and emotions. My favourite song certainly does!
The best song of all times
ABBA started in the 1970s. The band was made up of four Swedish members - Benny Andersson, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, Björn Ulvaeus and Agnetha Fältskog. I Have a Dream is one of the most popular songs that ABBA played. It appeared in the best-selling album of the band, Voulez Vous, released in 1979. I Have a Dream was composed by Benny and it was sung by Anni-Frid and Agnetha. The song was so popular that it was always the highlight of the concerts that the band held all around the world.
The beauty about the lyrics
Why was I Have a Dream the band’s greatest hit? Simply because of its lyrics, which are truly memorable. They stress the importance of dreaming. The message is that you have to believe in fairy tales and angels, even though you’ve failed in life. “If you see the wonder of a fairy tale, you can take the future even if you fail, I believe in angels, something good in everything I see...” In other words, the future is not without hope. Remember to dream always. “I have a dream, a fantasy, to help me through reality, and my destination makes it worth the while, pushing through the darkness still another mile, I believe in angels when I know the time is right for me, I'll cross the stream - I have a dream…”
The music is soft
If you have the opportunity to listen it, don’t miss it. The song will help you to relax. It may even make you feel sleepy. The melody is not vibrant, but soft. Of course, you won’t listen to it in discos. You can download it to your computer and listen to it when you’re quiet or alone. You’ll see that I Have a Dream explores a world in which unreal things exist. Step into it! You won’t regret it!
