sore, a.k.a a chancre. Chancres appear
mostly on the external genitals, like the
vagina, rectum, or anus. Syphilis can be
cured by antibiotics but its damage cannot
be removed. Genital herpes is very common
in the United States. About 1 of every 6
persons from the age of 14 to 49 has this
infection. This disease can be spread
through any type of sex act as contact with
the fluids from the sore transmits the
disease. There is no cure for this disease
but there are some medications to control it.
The last two STDs that will be addressed
will be chlamydia and Gonorrhea.
Chlamydia is a severe STD that affects but
men and women, but it can cause big and
permanent damage to a woman’s
reproductive
system.

contracted by having any type of sexual
intercourse with an infected individual. This
is a disease that can be spread from a
mother to an unborn infant. Chlamydia is
the most common bacterial STD in the
United States. The last disease is
Gonorrhea. Each year, 820,000 people in
the United States get gonorrheal infections,
and less than the half are detected.
Gonorrhea is especially common in persons
form the age of 15 to 24. Mothers can
transmit this disease to their child during
childbirth. Also, Gonorrhea may not show
symptoms in some males but however,
those who do experience a burning feeling
while urinating and swollen testicles.
In conclusion we can say that STD’s are
Sexually transmitted diseases, also known
as sexually transmitted infections or
venereal diseases, they are mainly illnesses
that have a high probability of transmission
during sexual behavior and will cause
severe illness or problems to your health
during all your life if not treated correctly.
These diseases can be transmitted during:
vaginal intercourse, anal sex and oral sex.
The most common STD’s nowadays are:
Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Trichomoniasis,
HIV, Herpes and many others. STD’s are
mainly transmitted because people aren’t
aware of its dangers, and they are not
informed about prevention or how to detect
the different symptoms of any of these
