Couples that have sexual relationships need to well informed of all birth control methods. The purpose of this project is demonstrating what birth control methods are more effective.
There are many different types of birth control methods. Some are very effective and others are not so effective. We will describe male condoms, oral contraceptives, diaphragm and contraceptive implants. The male condom is a thin sheath that covers the penis during intercourse and it is made of rubber. This is one of the only ways of protecting yourself from STD’s. These are considered 98 percent. Another way of preventing pregnancy is the oral contraceptive, but it does not protect against STD’s. This pill prevents ovulation from happening. They either come in 28 days or 21. Some side effects are irregular menstrual bleeding, headaches, nausea, etc. Diaphragm is a dome-shaped bowl that sits over the cervix. This keeps the sperm from entering the uterus. It is considered 92-96% effective. There are no risks shown in using this, only the risk of pregnancy. The contraceptive implant is a small tube that’s inserted under the skin of your upper arm. This stops the ovary from releasing from the egg. (Ovulation) This is considered more than 99% effective. Side effects for this contraceptive are nausea, headache, acne, changes in mood and loss of sex drive. The benefits are that it works for three years and that after it is removed the fertility is completely recovered. These are different types to try, while the only way to truly protect yourself from STDs is using a condom.
The adverse effects for each of the birth control methods are:
For the first two birth control methods: Well this contraceptive method has many effects like sometimes it could not function and its not 100% effective, in statistics is more effective male condom than oral contraceptive male condom because sometimes you don’t take the pill in regulation and the condom its more effective in this case because it can protect you from STDS.
For the second two birth control: The diaphragm its less effective than the contraceptive implant because they implement a tube in the upper arm and with that they reduce your fertility and this is made by persons that are specialized in medicine and its more effective than the diaphragm because you put it yourself and also you never know if it would be effective when you are not sure how to use it and the other one yes because its a tube that you have inside your body that would provide 100% that it would help you in not being fertile.
An inequality states that two values are not equal. There are different special symbols that show that things are not equal, like (≠, <, >). They are used to compare different variables and to know if a variable is bigger, equal, or smaller than a certain value. In this project we will use inequalities to compare these birth control methods in the chart shown.
