E-HEALTH MAGAZINE MAY 2014 RESILIENCE Perla Anahí Jiménez Bahena, a person with resilience By Cindy Jiménez My sister’s name is Perla Anahí Jiménez Bahena. She is 25 years old and she has experienced a life crisis, that is not that big compared to other people’s life crisis, but for her it was. Before the life crisis that she had to pass, she was really confident about herself. Nothing stopped her. Before this life changing experience happened, with hard work, she obtain what she wanted. That was before here life crisis. When she was 24 years old, she applied for her masters degrees and when she was selected for the pre-final selection, everything went wrong and she wasn’t accepted at the end. This was her life crisis since she did not took that a positive thing at first, but with time she used that negative as a positive. After her life crisis happened, she took some time to figure out what she was going to do with her life. Is she was going to let this event get the best out of her or is she was going to use what she had learned and apply next year. She did, and so, the next year, she applied, and got accepted to not any school, but Yale University.
