Marijuana is a drug that has had a major impact on the world recently. It is know to some people as a harmful drug but to others it’s just simply a relaxing “recreational” drug and it’s used to have a good time. People that try marijuana at a young age are exposed to addiction easier and it has become a threat to our community since teens motivated by peer pressure get in to this drug and never come out of it. Marijuana is not a drug to be messing around with and the user should know all the things this drug contributes. Not to mention that possession, consumption and selling for marijuana in some countries can lead up to at least 3 or more years in prison.

Marijuana is a drug that has gained a strong group of supporters and has recently gained more popularity because it has been legalized in some countries with a set of special conditions (such as recreational uses, medical purpose, etc.) in many countries like Cambodia, Canada, Australia, Czech Republic, etc. Marijuana, affects a part of the brain that manages pleasure, memory, thinking, concentration, sensory and time perception, and coordination movements.

Even in some cases marijuana causes in its users anxiety and/or panic attacks along with symptoms and sometimes depression itself, not to mention the cardiopulmonary problems this “recreational” drug makes.

The difference between someone that has physical dependence on a drug is when they show withdrawal symptoms and because the drug was abruptly discontinued. They show huge dependence on the drug and their body physically asks for the drug. On the other hand Psychological dependence is not only for drug abuse it you can become psychologically addicted to any everyday activity like gambling, Internet addiction etc. and the symptoms to being psychological dependence are insomnia, cravings, irritability, depression and in some cases anorexia.

A person can be physically and psychologically addicted at the same time, some doctors dismiss these categories since both are under the category of substance abuse; some doctors believe that psychological dependence is entirely due to physical dependence symptoms.
