“We can
trust God to
be who He
says He is
and who He
has been
for
generations
past”
In our earthly relationships, you
can have a father either by birth
or by adoption. But in either case,
you become a full son or
daughter. The Bible says we
become sons and daughters of
God by the new birth when we
accept Jesus Christ as our savior.
We are hence adopted into the
family of God (Romans 8:15)
He is a good good father and will
never change. He is the same
today and forever. In his
goodness, he works everything
out for our good. Goodness is in
his nature, he cannot therefore
fail to give it out to us as his
children. He will not give a
scorpion in place of an egg (Luke
11:11-12). So how do you develop
this child- father relationship
with God?
1.Once you believe and accept
Jesus Christ as a savior, be
prepared to start on a new page
with the father, one on one. It’s
allowing yourself to know God
intimately in a father and child
relationship.
2. Build the relationship through
constant communication.
Remember communication is the
key to any thriving relationship.
Talk with God daily ( called
prayer) and study His written
word to know him better and
understand what he has to say to
you
3. Build your trust in God and
who He says He is. Unlike our
earthly fathers who are limited
and sometimes fail on their word,
we can trust God to be who He
has been from generations past.
But trust is not automatic. You
will build trust as you learn
more about God’s character and
choose to obey Him above your
thoughts
Developing a relationship with
God requires childlike faith. This
has a lot to do with us as the
receivers of both God’s goodness
and his love. We are worthy of
his love, he has adopted us as his
own, we are of God little
children. He is an affectionate
father, the heart of a father.
