A NOTE FROM BRENDAN
Welcome to the inaugural MKS2 “ The
Insider ” magazine ! I am thrilled to mark a series of milestones for our rapidly expanding and award-winning company .
We ’ ve had tremendous growth in the last nine months and I am excited to welcome many of our new teammates to the family .
Amidst the challenges of COVID-19 , we are taking this opportunity to celebrate 12 years of advancement and growth for MKS2 . Each of you , including your families , have played an integral role in growing and maintaining our business . Thank you !
I started MKS2 in 2008 and for the first six years , it was essentially just me . I would drive around Virginia , Maryland , and the District of Columbia in the sweltering heat of my old 1999 maroon hatchback with no air conditioning . I would arrive 15 minutes early for my scheduled meetings so I could wipe the sweat off the lobby bathrooms . Then , I ’ d take the elevators up and pitch our value .
There were many times my wife , Suzanne , and I would talk about prospects and if we needed to close down the company to support our growing young family . However , over the last five years MKS2 has grown to become a team of experts , each with a valuable skill set to contribute and market to our growing number of accounts .
The milestones we ’ ve achieved are incredible . We just hit 150 teammates based nationwide in 38 states , DC , and Puerto Rico and we project to hit 180 teammates by the end of September ! Lastly , for the fourth year in a row we ’ ve been named in Inc . Magazine as one of the fastest 5,000 growing companies in America and , although COVID-19 has made 2020 a challenge , we have a lot to celebrate !
Your hustle and hard work are admirable and I look forward to continuing to grow something special with each of you and your families .

ANGELA ASPITO , VICE PRESIDENT OF STRATEGY AND GROWTH
As the Vice President of Strategy and Growth , Angela is a team leader who collaborates with other MKS2 Technologies leaders , customers , and partners to expand MKS2 ’ s portfolio of work across the federal government . She has a Bachelor ’ s degree from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame .
A classically trained chef and certified sommelier , Angela spends most of her free time cooking for her family and friends and exploring new wines . She lives in Portland , Maine , with her husband , Jeff , and their 3 hockeyplaying children , Frankie , Luke , and Teresa .
BRANDON UTT , DIRECTOR OF GROWTH
As the Director of Growth at MKS2 Technologies , Brandon ’ s role is to seek new business opportunities with current and future customers and to maintain corporate partnerships . Before coming to MKS2 , Brandon spent time in similar industry roles including as a government contracting professional for the US Army and the Department of Veteran Affairs .
Brandon resides in Metuchen , New Jersey , with his wife , Heather , and two children , Vanessa and Alexa . Outside of work , he enjoys sports , music , exercise , walking the dog , and keeping up with his daughters ’ dance schedules .
DANNA AGHA , BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
Danna is the Business Development Coordinator at MKS2 Technologies . Her past work experiences focused on prioritizing business development and customer service with an emphasis on having personable interactions with customers to create positive , lasting impressions .
Danna graduated from the University of California , Santa Cruz , with a Bachelor of Arts in English Language Literature and also earned a Master ’ s degree in Teaching . She currently resides in the Santa Cruz mountains in California where she enjoys painting , dancing , and spending time with her best friend , Lucy , the Golden Doodle .
