Charles Leclerc (born  16 October 1997

in Monaco) is a  Monegasque  racing driver  for 

Scuderia Ferrari.

Charles Leclerc began karting at the age of five on the  Brignoles  circuit managed by Jules Bianchi's  father, a friend of his father, and discovered a passion for Formula 1 that became his number  1 goal.

Winner of the  GP3 Series championship in 2016 and the Formula 2 championship in 2017

he made his  Formula 1 debut the  following year, at the  Australian Grand Prix, with the  Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team. He scored his first points by taking sixth place in the 

Azerbaijan Grand Prix  in  Baku. In his first season, he entered the points ten times, finishing the championship with three consecutive seventh-place finishes, before joining  Scuderia Ferrari.
