OSH Schedule of Prices
The incorporation of OSH schedule of prices into a
tender document can be in the form of a provisional
sum. Whereby a provisional sum is provided for
compliance to OSH requirement, OSH schedule
of prices should be incorporated as part of the
tender document. Otherwise OSH items should be
extended and specified within the preliminaries.
The prices quoted by the contractor are subject to
rationalisation by the client representative upon
signing of the contract, which can be used as a
basis against the total price of OSH compliance.
While pricing the items, a cross-reference to the
relevant OSH specification is required.
OSH Schedule of Prices
The content of Schedule of Prices in the
Guideline is listed below;
i.
Part 1 : General
ii.
Part 2: Amenities and Facilities
(Construction site and site
accommodation (Rumah Kongsi)
iii.
Part 3: prevention of fall at
workplace
iv.
Electrical
v.
Hazardous Chemicals and Materials
vi.
Plants
vii. Special work situations
for industry players. Hopefully the guideline will
form the foundation stone to the formulation of
Construction Industry Standards (CIS) in the future.
Currently the published guideline is available at
CIDB Office Head Quarter.

SUMMARY
The Guideline: Incorporating OSH into a Contract
Document is a reference to create a basis against
which OSH items are specified at the pre-contract
stage. This will enable the OSH activities to be
embedded and monitored during the execution
or post-contract period. The guideline templates:
OSH Specifications and Schedule of Prices are not
intended to supersede the current OSH related
documents but as a reference and generic guideline
