The artistic inspiration from Giorgio De Chirico that Jenova Chen took was his surrealist colours and the architecture (Journey, digital game, 2012). The only difference between the game and his art is the use of contrast, lighting, and the atmosphere (Journey, digital game, 2012). This is a problem because some gamers who played the game cared about the beauty of its design and not knowing the artistic inspiration behind it.
