Slavery

Once the Industrial Revolution began, slavery quickly expanded. Slavery expanded quickly because cotton became high in demand in the South and also, new cotton processing machines were made. One of the new, innovated processing systems was a machine called the cotton gin. The cotton gin was developed by a man named Eli Whitney. The cotton gin was an engine that separated the seeds found in cotton, from the cotton.
