Guringai Festival

26 May to 9 July 2017

The Guringai Festival celebrates and recognises Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and culture.

The Festival starts on Sorry Day, 26 May and runs through to the end of NAIDOC Week, on 9 July.

The 2017 Festival theme is Connection, and explores connections of people and place, connections of communities, connections of parents and children.

In the coming weeks you can expect to find more information here about the 2017 Festival, including the full program of Festival events on their wesbite.

Liverpool City Council will be histing National Sorry Day event.

When: Friday 26 May 2017 at 10.30am

Where: Liverpool Regional Museum.

A Flag Raising Ceremony will be held and followed by a visit to the Stolen Generations Memorial at Mount Annan Botanic Garden.

Blacktown National Sorry Day

Blacktown Art Centre will be hosting Blacktown's National Sorry Day Event.

When: Friday, 26 May 2017

Where: Bkactown Arts Centre, Flushcombe Rd, Blacktown

Time: 12 noon to 2pm

Costs: Free Community Event

The event will give everyone the chance to come together and share the steps towards healing from the Stolen Generations, their families and communiites. Share the day with special guest Dr Tom Calma.
