Little J & Big Cuz
History was made on the 28th of April which saw the premier animated children’s series, “Little J & Big Cuz” airing on NITV Ch.34 at 7:30pm. You can expect to see thirteen shows aired aimed at children 4-6 years old.
Little J, his five and Big Cuz, she’s nine. They’re a couple of Indigenous Australian kids living with their Nana and Old Dog. Little J and Big Cuz are busy with the ups and downs of playground and the classroom. There’s always something suprising going on whether it’s at school,, in the backyard…or beyond. The gaps is Nanna’s ramshackle fence lead to saltwater, Desert and Freshwater country. With the help of Nanna and their teacher Ms Chen, Little J and Big Cuz are finding out all about culture, community and country.
Producer Ned Lander says “it offers a proud and positive view of Aboriginal Australia, and the opportunities for learning within it. Great television can help kids feel good about themselves and about tackling big challenges, like going to school”.
The series is brought to life with the voices of Indigenous actors; Deborah Mailman, Miranda Tapsell, Aaron Fa'Aoso, Kylie Famer Miah Madden, Katie Beckett, Mark Coles Smith, Ursula Yovich, Shari Sebbens, Ningali Lawford-Wolf, and Miranda Tapsell.
