GAME WATCH Sometimes, It Takes A Team W elcome back to Game Watch! We’ve got a lot to get through this installment, so let’s jump right in. This month, we’re catching back up with Objects in Space, the latest project by Leigh and Rohan Harris who make up the team at Flat Earth Games. If you’ll recall, the last time Objects in Space was here, it was as an exclusive reveal packed with insider info. I left off with a promise that our next update would include “Everything from details about the story to an inside look at the rather unorthodox and unprecedented writing team, to a timeline of the project’s development so far...” (Quoting myself? I can’t tell if that’s efficiency or narcissism. Eh, it’s probably both.) Now, it’s time to deliver on that promise. by Vinny Parisi where humanity has developed jump drive technology (the ability to instantaneously warp from one point in space to another). With resources on Earth dwindling, mankind looks to the stars for salvation. However, jump drives consume a lot of power, and require massive vessels in order to travel larger distances. The most impressive craft built to date is a deep-space colony vessel called Cassandra, its mission being to transport over 700,000 people to the Apollo cluster, where scientists have determined the existence of atmospheric similarities, and thus livable conditions for humans. The mission to Apollo, perhaps expectedly, doesn’t go as planned. The would-be peaceful ten year voyage takes a turn for the worse, and numerous events unfold.
