Machin : The pieces themselves tier up. As you play the game,
they gain XP and tier up. This unlocks a visually more impressive
unit, and also grants that unit new abilities. Players can also
pick the chapter or clan of their army and the tier of each piece
(each of which is worth a set amount of points) and place them
where you feel they would be most effective. This is necessary
for the Regicide matches which require the player to start with
a point-based army.
IGM: There are a few previous Warhammer games that have
featured complex rule sets, which can sometimes be off-putting
to newcomers. What is the barrier of entry like for Regicide, if
there is one?
