Introduction to the
California Department of
Alcoholic Beverage Control

If you ever visit the ABC website or come to any ABC
district office to find out how to get a license to sell,
distribute, or manufacture alcohol in California, the
ABC has the information for you. There is a process
in place that generally takes 60-90 days for license
approval, unless someone in the community has a
concern that they express to the ABC or local law
enforcement agencies; due to the location being in a
high crime reporting area.
