Sagittarius is a Polish five-piece heavy metal band formed in 2019 in Wrocław, Poland. Known for blending a traditional metal foundation with darker, modern, and progressive elements, the band has steadily grown from a local underground act into an internationally signed recording group.
Sagittarius spent their early years focusing heavily on core songwriting fundamentals. Rather than rushing into full-length releases, they honed a signature sound that pairs technical, unconventional arrangements with heavy hooks.
While fundamentally rooted in traditional heavy metal, Sagittarius distances itself from predictable sub-genre tropes. Their sound is characterized by progressive structures, complex tempos, dark atmospheres, and a technical execution that draws comparisons to progressive metal and modern heavy metal styles.
The band caught the attention of the broader metal underground in 2022 following the release of their single "Entropy" and their debut EP, "Collapse". These early releases showcased their formula:
classical heavy metal structures reinterpreted through a modern lens.
After establishing their footing, Sagittarius signed a global record deal with the
Italian metal label Wormholedeath. The partnership was forged to propel
their debut full-length studio album, "Abomination of Mind," slated
for release on October 9, 2026.
Sagittarius Line-up:
Marcin Komorowski – vocal
Artur Grzegorczyk – lead guitar
Adam Dziubiński – rhythm guitar
