Elyanna, or Elian Margieh, was born in Nazareth,
Palestine, and moved to San Diego when she was 15 to
pursue her music career. Her love for music started when
she was seven, and she credits her brother Feras for
discovering her talent. “He was instrumental in perfecting
my craft,” she underscores. “I would sit and start singing,
and he would continuously share his input on how I could
do it better.” As a child, she recalls her father always
turning up the volume on songs from artists like Sabah
Fakhri and Umm Kulthum, while both her mother and
grandfather are published poets. “I’m so grateful for the
creative zone I grew up around. All these childhood inspirations
are now influencing my music,” she remarks.
With two EPs under her belt, Elyanna will release a new album
later this year. “I’ve been working on it for two years, and it’s very
unique. It’s free, and the whole album is a ride – intense and sweet. I
even sampled my grandpa in it, which is beautiful,” she reveals.
Elyanna, the Palestinian-Chilean sensation, captivates audiences with
her seamless blend of Arabic music, pop, and R&B. Her historic
performance at Coachella, where she became the first to sing in
Arabic, marked a milestone in music history.
With her debut album Woledto released on April 12 via Universal
Arabic Music, Elyanna continues to push boundaries. She graced the
covers of Billboard Arabia (Feb. 2024), Vogue Middle East (March
2024), and Galore Magazine (April 2024), while also gaining critical
acclaim in the U.S. with features in Billboard, Vogue, Rolling Stone,
NYLON, and more.
Recognized as one of Rolling Stone's 25 Rising New Artists of 2023,
Elyanna's star power shines brighter with each accomplishment,
including selling out her debut North American tour and appearances on
ABC News/Good Morning America. Her enchanting vocals and bilingual fluency have
garnered over 100 million global streams, further solidifying her status as a rising
pop icon.
Through her music and visuals, Elyanna aims to elevate Middle Eastern culture while
transcending musical boundaries, capturing the hearts of fans worldwide.
