Monet Sky Band "Monet Sky"
GENRE: SPIRITUAL/AMERICANA
Monet Sky is about love between two people who are Always in the honeymoon
phase of their relationship. It's about what you feel like when deeply in love and
you feel like you're walking on air. Written by famous Austin musicians Kim Hayley
and David Womack, it chronicles how love can transcend all reality. Within the song,
the two lovebirds see a Monet painting, and relate to how they felt such joy at the
county fair when they ate cotton candy as a kid. Monet Sky is a lyrical work of art.
It articulates how a deep love can make you feel like your floating.
The hook "We were pullin' cotton candy from the sky, just you Monet and I," is written to remind people that ever so often, we'll all experience a joy that makes our heart feel like we are as light as a feather and can feel love deep in our hearts like never before.
Americana from Alabama (ft. Jimmy Gauld)
"Wearing Country Like A Crown"
GENRE:
"Wearing Country Like A Crown" is an anthem to throwing away the suit
and tie and embracing country roots. Returning to the south, wearing
denim and having some whiskey with the boys. Glad to trade the business
meetings, and the hustle and bustle lifestyle for some cowboy boots,
roaming the country, slowing down to enjoy watching the sunset."
Rick Revel "Southern Man (In A Strange Land)"
GENRE: Outlaw Country/Southern Rock
From the album "That Muscle Shoals Sound" comes an
Americana/Outlaw Country/Southern Rock song that will grab you by the
heartstrings and not let go. "Southern Man (In A Strange Land)" tells the
story of how American and Southern heritage is being erased one statue at
a time. Rick Revel makes you aware that history is vanishing before our very
eyes and it's to our detriment. "God save the Southland!"
DownTown Mystic "
GENRE: POP/ROCK
"For the better part of 2024, US roots rocker DownTown Mystic has been on a roll with the successful
releases of the Rock’n’Roll 4 The Soul album and its companion, the Rock'n'Roll 4 The Soul: Acoustic
Sessions EP. DownTown Mystic will finish the year with the release of the Better Day Digital 45. The
release sets up DownTown Mystic’s next project, The Wish album in 2025, which shows DTM’s RnR style
& sound evolving.
DownTown Mystic Writer/Producer Robert Allen comments on the release, "I wanted to put out a positive
vibe and Better Day was the perfect song to do that. I'm also a big Tom Petty fan, and as a nod to
Tom (w/Mike Campbell), the track features a 12-string Rickenbacker guitar that he made a trademark
of his sound. I created the solo as an homage to TP and his memory."
