Black Snake Bayou Band "Alligator Crawl"
GENRE: Southern Rock
Every once in a great while, something, or someone, so unique rises up out of a local
music scene and practically demands you stand up and take notice. Such is the case
with the Black Snake Bayou Band; a hearty group of seasoned musicians that call
the Sarasota area home. With infectious, danceable Southern grooves, they take
you on a high wire journey through life as seen through the eyes of the renegade
you want to be. Where the good guy doesn't always win; and the rules don't
always apply, and yet, truth and honor reign supreme. Their songs are a musical
gumbo of rock, blues, alternative country, and so much more. Slightly dangerous?
You bet. They just might make you rethink your favorites.
DownTown Mystic:
"Day Of Reckoning (featuring Tony Trischka) "
GENRE: AmeriKarma
DownTown Mystic, a.k.a. American rocker Robert Allen, is one of the top Sync-Licensed indie artists in the world with over 240 TV shows and film placements. This exposure and getting name-checked by outlets like American
Songwriter have given Allen’s career real wings. His new album is AmeriKarma.
The new single Day of Reckoning features Banjo master Tony Trischka (he taught Bela Fleck). The
song was co-written by Robert and Jay Friedman from Blue Grass/Americana band Blue Plate
Special. The song is a tongue-in-cheek look at taking stock of one's life and getting ready for
Judgement Day.
Bill Jackson: "Precious Cargo"
GENRE: Americana
Bill Jackson is coming from the grass roots, from the ground up, from the struggle of
the 99% - his songs are gritty and real and come at you like a hammer, ringin' in the
mornin'. Take it or leave it, he's telling it straight up’. (Shane Howard)
Jackson has firmly established himself over the past few years as one of Australia’s
finest Singer/Songwriters. He has released seven solo albums and toured North
America four times. His most recent album, ‘The Wayside Ballads Vol 3’, produced
by Kerryn Tolhurst was awarded ‘Contemporary Album of the Year’ at The Australian
Folk Music Awards in 2021
Whosoever South: "Crazy About You"
GENRE: SOUTHERN ALTERNATIVE
Whosoever South is a musical trio comprised of husband & wife team, Rowdy & Sarah Eunice, & friend Mike Mitchell, along with a few family & friends as instrumental musical contributors. The three are from the Southeastern U.S. and have been making music together since the early 2000’s. As independent artists, they are not limited to just one specific genre & often like to mix it up. Let’s say Hip-Hop, Bluegrass, Gospel, Soul & some Country..and sometimes maybe all in just one song. They like many different kinds of music, so why not? They often share their faith & love of family in their songs with a relevant, true to life message.
“Crazy About You” is a fun song, with a catchy vibe, full of the realness of a relationship.
We may be different, & we might like different things, but through it all, the love remains.
Even if we might make each other crazy at times, we are still crazy about each other.
At the end of the day, knowing that love, is a gift. & the gift of love, is what everybody needs.
