The World’s Oldest Song Was Sang About 3,400 Years Ago

Have you ever wondered what is the world’s oldest song? Well, many people

across the globe ask themselves this question and as things stand now, the

official answer is the Hurrian Hymn Text H6. 29 clay tablets, some of them

containing this text, were discovered in the ancient Syrian city of Ugarit in the

early 1950s by a team of French archaeologists. It was officially confirmed that

the tablets are nothing else but “a complete cult hymn and is the oldest

preserved song with notation in the world.”

This song is also believed to be one of the world’s earliest melodies.

3. Céline Dion's 'My Heart Will Go On" was recorded in one take;

Céline didn't actually want to sing the famous love song, but was convinced by her husband and some producers of the film "Titanic". When it was sung and recorded the first time, it was perfect. They kept it and had her do no more takes. So whenever you listen to this song or watch "Titanic" keep in mind that the famous song was sung only once.

4. Leo Fender is known to all of us as the genius inventor of legendary electric guitars. His models from the Stratocaster to the Telecaster were and are played by the most famous string heroes in the world. Fender has written music history with these axes. The ironic fact: he could not play the guitar himself!

5. Rock ‘n’ Roll meets wildlife: Termites love rock music. Say what?? According to Australian researchers, they eat wood twice as fast when they are exposed to heavy metal music.
