Hillstaxx: "Long Way Home"

GENRE: AMERICANA/BLUES

Independent record label HZT Records (Horizontal Trees Music) is proud to announce the release of the Hillstaxx single, "Long Way Home" off her debut EP "Awaiting The Dew."

Hillary Paige Warring (HILLSTAXX), Was born and raised in Maine in the small town of Bath. She has a unique old-style way of singing with a touch of rock and roll. Hillstaxx began playing open mics and then on to traveling to Wimberley Texas to record her first EP at Yellow Dog Studios. The lyrics take you on a journey around the years of her life of becoming an adult in the northern woods. Her edgy look and classic voice bring out the American tomboy lifestyle, telling her story. Right out of school she had challenges and began writing music those experiences and memories.

The EP begins with her first song Angel, that was written through the emotions and experience of losing her mother to cancer. This was the first single she had written on her own. Also filled with the vibe of great “summer feeling”, the five song ep is an experience of its own felt within the heart and soul.
