This is the moment that changed the direction of my life. This van was not called The Moose but was the first Moose by any other name, this old gal and everyone’s support took me around a summer of Festivals, on to WOMAD in Greece and back and taught me what my role in life was to be and how to do it.
Interesting to read back the report on receiving this van. I’m as skint today as I was when I was given the “Heart of Gold” as it came to be know (true story). I had no reason to believe any of this was possible, If someone had said then, in 8 years time we will have fashioned an internet TV Station, have Moose Mobiles in Scotland and Canada and visited 15 countries, 25 USA states and 4 Canadian provinces in support of and supported by the independent roots music community we love, I’d have scarcely believed it and all entirely due to the milk of human kindness, that’s the Miricle.
I remain as grateful and as optimistic as I was this day 8 years ago, providence is a constant witness and guid to me, in that alone I’ve grown to trust and in that trust alone is to be found increadable wealth at every turn of the way.
I feel the Moose Movement now is uniquely equipped to really make a difference in helping to rebuild the music scene and support the reemergence of music we love from the rubble of 2020 and I’m here to say I am never happier than when I’m doing this work and long may i continue in its purpose - thank you all.
In 8 years time ( if the Creek don’t rise ) I would love to see a Moose Mobile doing its joyful work on every continent, linking and being linked by iMTV international Moose TV directly to an expanding comunity of like minded people with love and a sence of community at it’s beating heart (there I said it)
