Cheralee "Remember
COUNTRY/POP
South African born singer-songwriter CheraLee is out with her
latest music offering, and it’s something special. ‘Remember’ is a
slice of pop heaven with strong hints of country influences, yet
not just sweet on the ears. The uplifting song carries a much
deeper meaning behind the music, as the song was written for and
inspired by CheraLee’s late mother, who played a great
inspirational role in the singer’s life.
"It Takes A Long Time" was the very first song I (Bruce McInnis Jr) ever wrote. I was 8 years old and scribbled down the words. When I was around 13 years old I was awarded the first ever Music Award at my elementary school in Whitefield, Maine. I then put music to it and never actually performed the song for almost 40 years. I am not quite sure what I was thinking about at 8 years old, but the song has taken on a life of it's own describing how it does take a lifetime of learning and decisions to get through this life. Some are good decisions and others not so good, but nonetheless we live with the consequences of them and at the end of the day, we will all be okay. My brother James and my wife Debby add beautiful rich harmonies that draw you into the story.
