Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Dwight Anthony Davis spent his early years in rural Kellits, Clarendon.

Beyond the chirping of the crickets, the only sounds at night came from his grandfather’s radio,

playing the music of international stars like the Bee Gees, Stevie Wonder, Cat Stevens, and Sting,

and of local Jamaican artists including Bob Marley, John Holt, Peter Tosh, and Bob Andy. These

early years of late-night radio spurred Dwight’s love of music and informed his later development

into a songwriter and musician.

His full-length debut album "Hurry" features his own interpretations of genres ranging from

reggae to samba to R&B-infused folk rock. Building his orchestrations around a Brazilian band,

Dwight adds a reggae flavor to compositions like “Music Galore,” featuring rock guitar with driving

drums and bass. The release of "Hurry" marks the realization of a dream

twenty years in the making
