Dubbed “The Rock & Soul Troubadour,” artist REDRAY FRAZIER, announced the debut of his single “Better Man,” back in 2021 followed by an exciting forthcoming catalogue of live and recorded music. A native New Yorker, who was raised in an exceedingly musical family, REDRAY is an established vocalist and musician who creates his own unique fusion of Alternative R&B, Rock, and Indie-Soul.

Get ready for captivating new lyrical sounds and smooth, smoky vocals like you’ve never heard.

From his humble beginnings singing gospel music in his father’s Baptist church choir in New Jersey, through his major label incarnations opening for the likes of Lenny Kravitz and Ben Harper to joining Talking Heads’ David Byrne’s touring band, Portland, Oregon-based rock ’n’ soul troubadour, Redray Frazier has always been able to meld the influences of his record collection into his spectrum-covering brand of soul music.

“My record collection celebrates Nina Simone, Bill Withers, Jose Feliciano, The Beatles, Sam Cooke, Donny Hathaway, Jimi Hendrix, Roberta Flack, Labi Siffre, Richie Havens and so on,” comments Redray on his musical influences.

“I have a sneaking suspicion that current artists that I love and relate to, like Britany Howard, Michael Kiwanuka, Leon Bridges, Gary Clark Jr. – to name a few – all probably have some or all of the earlier legendary artists mentioned in their record collections as well.

Lyrically, REDRAY meditates on love’s pathos and euphoria, achieving spiritual balance, and reinterpreting social minefields. The singer’s vocals hypnotize while his lyrics dig deep into cultural territories such as the higher vibration of self-betterment. A true artist, not just in the musical sense, he is also an entrepreneur and community activist, as well as pursuing several other creative passions.

”All of these influences play a role in his second single, “The Real Thing,” released on New York-based indie label Greystone Music Group. Redray looks to make this a new beginning in his career and explore all the possibilities that helped make him into the type of musician he is today.
