I’m Georgina Ward, an independent singer-songwriter hailing from St Kilda, Melbourne
(Narrm).
My sound is an eclectic mix of rock, soul, and pop, influenced by my musical roots
and family heritage here in Australia. My voice has often been described as both
earthy and angelic, with an ethereal quality that blends beautifully with the
rawness of the music I create.
I began my journey into music with my debut single The River, produced by
Danny Simcic, former drummer of the iconic Australian band Real Life. The
song was well-received, both locally and internationally, and led to the
release of my 2016 album Matters of the Heart. That album showcased my
versatility, and I had the privilege of taking my music on the road, including
a tour of Germany that year.
Jeff Martin of The Tea Party once described my voice as “the voice of an
angel, but a little more rock n’ roll,” which was an incredible compliment.
In 2024, after a long and healing hiatus, I returned to music with my latest
release, Sun and the Moon 24. Thank you for being here and joining me on
this journey. I’m so glad to have you along for the ride.
The new single “Gravitational Pull” by Australian independent artist Georgina
Ward is a cinematic, emotional release produced by Danny Simcic (Real Life, Hit
"Send me an Angel"), featuring a soaring guitar solo by Jeff Martin (The Tea
Party), orchestral arrangements by Sean Brown, and lifting vocal textures from a
Nigerian choir.
It’s an evocative and moving piece that connects deeply with listeners, particularly
those who enjoy reflective music with atmospheric layers, perfect for those who
