Located between Napier and Gisborne, Wairoa has a variety of options for packaging and freighting quality goods. The majority of products and services are transported by land, sea or air, allowing the opportunity to export internationally.
FREIGHT State Highway 2 is designed for heavy traffic and maintained on a regular basis which provides access to the Port of Gisborne and the Port of Napier.
AIRPORTS Wairoa Airport The Wairoa airport has a sealed runway with a length of 925m, pilot-activated lighting( PAL) and is used daily. Plans to extend the runway to a length of 1,375 are being finalised.
Gisborne Airport The Gisborne airport provides daily commercial air travel around New Zealand and by arrangement freight planes can access the runway.
Hawke’ s Bay Airport An aero club is located at the airport where planes can be chartered to fly directly to Wairoa.
PORT OF NAPIER The Port of Napier is the North Island’ s second largest port that exports goods internationally on a regular basis. Therefore all facilities to export your goods are well established and easily accessible.
