Apply for a School Place for September Term
If you move to the area in
July-August and your child will go to school in September , you apply for a school place directly to a school by completing an online application form . As demand is usually high , it is advisable to make multiple applications .

Apply for a School Place in Reception Year , Year 3 or Year 7
If you arrive in the area in the first few months of the year , you will have missed the application period to apply for a school place at Reception Year ( primary / infant ), or Year 3 ( junior ) or Year 7 ( senior ). So , there may be difficulty in getting a place in those Years and at your first choice of schools .

Step-by-step , the move-in process works as follows :
1 . Apply for your Service Family Accommodation ( SFA ), letting Amey know of any special considerations they may need to make , and whether or not you ’ ll need any furniture ( furniture charges apply )
2 . You are allocated and accept a new SFA , signing your Licence to Occupy
3 . Book your move-in appointment
4 . Arrange for any removal services you need to take your things to your new home when it is ready
5 . Attend your move-in appointment at your new home , where you will meet your Accommodation Officer . Your Accommodation Officer will show you round your new home and help you check your property meets the movein standard . They will ask you to sign your Occupancy Form to agree the property meets standards
6 . The move-in process is complete when your Accommodation Officer hands over responsibility for the property to you or your proxy
7 . Complete your 14-Day Observation Form and return it to us via email : occupancyservices @ ameydefenceservices . co . uk

I need to move out - what do I do ?
The process for moving out of Service Family Accommodation ( SFA ) is as follows :
1 . Once you have your Assignment Order or other reasons for moving arise , as part of your Licence to Occupy , you must book a premove out appointment with Amey .
2 . At your pre-move out appointment , your accommodation officer will conduct an assessment of your property and advise you of any steps that need to be taken to bring your property up to move-out standard . You ’ ll also have the chance to book onto Amey ’ s Walkaway Scheme .
3 . Carry out any steps your accommodation officer has advised will need to be taken to bring your property up to moveout standard , to avoid being charged when you move out .
4 . Its then up to you to arrange your final move-out appointment , where you will officially hand the keys to the property back to Amey .
