PODCASTS FILM Military Wives movie Lionsgate UK Premium VOD platforms ‘Straight-to- DVD’ used to be the label for a box office flop. But British feel-good movie ‘Military Wives’ has been given an early digital release following the widespread closure of cinemas in the wake of the COVID outbreak. Military Wives had spent just two weekends on theatrical release before cinemas across the country were closed. And if the choir cannot meet currently due to social distancing restrictions, at least it’s possible to get the girls together one more time – at home on the small screen.
