GOODBYE GERMANY Change of pace The senior soldier in the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps, Command Sergeant Major Allan Ridler (left), has handed over the pace stick to his successor, Stuart Davison. On his final day at Imjin Barracks, Command Sergeant Major Ridler said: “It’s been a true honour to serve in the UK’s only deployable Corps headquarters. “As the ‘ARRC’ prepares to become the first NATO warfighting Corps HQ at readiness since the Cold War, I am proud to have helped raise awareness, at NCO level, of the Alliance’s work within the British Army. “I wish Command Sergeant Major Stuart Davison all the best in the role as the Corps’ ‘senior enlisted leader’.” On the pull Staff branches from HQ ARRC have competed in the annual Tug of War competition, held at their NATO barracks at Gloucester. The event saw the multinational staff compete for the coveted ‘Imjin Cup’. The team from the Allied Rapid Reaction Corps’ Engineer Civil Military Interaction (ECMI) Branch (pictured) were eventually crowned champions.
