Hailing from sunny San Diego, the Alternative Pop-Rock quartet, Belmont Lights, was launched in the summer of 2012 with their debut EP. Aptly titled, Telegraphs, the release from start to finish delivers an ambient journey through the inner workings of relationships and the human heart. Telegraphs was recorded at the historic Westlake Recording Studios in Los Angeles with producer Alejandro Barajas (Rihanna) and practically drips with nostalgia.
Belmont Lights, made up of Casey Peek (guitar), Chad Wolf (drums), Isaiah Blas (vocals, keys), and Jed Peek (bass, synth), has spent the last two years honing their soaring, melodic sound while playing up-and-down the West Coast, performing on the monster stages of the House of Blues Sunset Strip, House of Blues San Diego, The Troubadour, The Roxy, and Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco.
The live show of Belmont Lights has been extremely well received, which has earned them opening slots for national acts, such as Andy Grammer, ZZ Ward, Ernie Halter, Tony Lucca, and John West. Last year, they were invited to play the Whole Planet event at SXSW 2013 in Austin, Texas. The San Diego Music Awards nominated Telegraphs for Best Pop Album and Belmont Lights followed this up by winning the very prestigious award of 2013 National RAW Artist Musician of the Year.
Since their mid 2012 debut, Belmont Lights has been featured three times in the Music Connection Magazine - the highest rated album review (9.0/10.0), the Top 10 Album Reviews of the Year, and the Top 100 Live Unsigned Bands.
In early 2014, Belmont Lights released their highly anticipated sophomore album, Empyrean Kings. The album has been propelled by the mainstream sound of the lead single, Raise Up, which has gained major attention from the usage as the 2014 NFL Soundtrack. The follow-up single, White//Red, has simply left those same industry professionals just wanting more.
