What qualifies a person to be a guest panelist on the show?
This is a very good question. We are always searching for panelists to appear on the broadcast. We look for people involved in the music industry, or related industries.
Some of these industry related positions include not only the obvious, but also things like audio engineers, broadcast radio or television, along with many others. We look for involvement with music, musicians and other various aspects of the industry.
Who are the current panelists on the show?
There are three in-house panelists that appear on the program, along with our guest expert panelist.
Ian Husbands, from London England, is a self described “Jack Of All Trades”. Ian has had the pleasure of working across a variety of sectors within the music business, both on a local level as well as nationally in the UK and internationally via the internet.
He started in the industry as a Graphic Designer, working on artwork and sleeve designs for artists including David Bowie, The Beastie Boys, Joe Cocker, as well as for labels including Sony, K-Tel, Telstar, EMI, Parlophone, Universal and other smaller indie labels and bands.
Through that job he got involved in working at festivals, booking acts, stage managing events and occasionally acting as an MC, working with bands including Bad Manners, Chas’n’Dave and The Dum Dums. One of his longest running events is the fREAKJAM Jamnight, which has run every Thursday in various venues around West London for nearly 20 years.
As a musician, Ian is currently the lead vocalist for the fREAKJAM house band and for covers band From The Ashes, who play regular dates in small venues, with occasional festival appearances.
