Matter of Fact
.Matter of Fact was formed for the love of making music and spreading a message of hope. MOF is influenced by logic, balance, and maturing life experiences. The lyrics capture the genuine emotions of those experiences and communicate themes that people identify with. At shows, many people comment that they really relate to the songs. It is the desire of MOF that our music inspire, delight and help others on their journey.
Currently, MOF is rehearsing, writing and recording for it's sophomore album.
The band brings the style of rock and pop together, morphing those styles into something that appeals to a wide audience. Matter of Fact has a sound that combines powerful guitar leads and rhythm riffs with piano driven melodic pop. A terrific blend of smooth vocals, thoughtful lyrics, and pure emotion are what defines the group’s sound.
The rhythm section is headed up by Mark Shively on drums. Mark has been playing drums for many years with various bands. Mark has extensive playing, touring and recording experience. The other part of the rhythm section is Mike Lyons on bass and vocals. Mike has played bass, guitar and fronted several bands. He also has a lot of knowledge and experience recording and engineering for his bands and others. Playing lead & rhythm guitar is Don Mueller. Don has been playing guitar in bands since his teens. Don provides his unique touch to the bands guitar sounds. Fronting the band is Rebekah Lyons. Rebekah has been playing piano, singing, and writing music for as long as she can remember. She has played and recorded as a soloist, as well as performing as keyboardist and vocalist for several regional bands. Rebekah has recently released a solo album of instrumental hymns.
MOF has appeared on Twitter Tuesday Live multiple times. They're a class act, for sure.
My personal favorite song of their's is Purpose and that's the video you'll see today. Put on your headphones and listen to the beautiful tones of Bekkah's voice. It's one that will surely make you melt into your chair.
